Leadership Team

Maxine Vigil Russell is the Founder, President and Director of Case Management for ProActive Partners. She started this business after more than 30 years in the health care field.

From 1986 to 1998, Maxine operated the largest independently owned First Aid and Safety Company in the DFW area. Her company focused on OSHA training and occupational safety. After her business was purchased by Cintas Corporation in 1998, she continued with the company as Regional Business Director and General Manager for four years. She was instrumental in locating and evaluating other first aid businesses for Cintas to purchase.

Maxine changed careers in 2001 becoming a Nurse Case Manager with Concentra and The Reny Company. She worked with a wide range of clients whose employers included both Nonsubscribers as well as subscribers to Worker’s Compensation. Her proactive medical management style proved valuable in helping employees successfully return to work.

Her nursing experience includes 10 years of hospital nursing as well as schools of vocational nursing and the UT Nursing School in Houston.

From 1975 to 1985 Maxine lived in Nigeria, Kuwait, Egypt, Libya and London.

She possesses a BSN from the University of New Mexico, a compact Texas Registered Nurse license, and a CCM certification.

Diane joined ProActive Partners in September 2013 as a Bilingual Nurse Case Manager.

Her early nursing experience included being the staff nurse on a Medical Surgical Unit, and working in the Orthopedics, Urology, Plastics, GI, and Pulmonary Units. She also completed a rotation through the Operating Room as a scrub nurse. After leaving the hospital she specialized in field case management of HIV, HEP, and chronic infectious diseases working on medical trials and experimental drugs. As you can imagine working with HIV & AIDS lead to a lot of hospice care. After a few years Diane moved to case management in homecare services for Medicare and Medicaid. For the past 25 years Diane has worked in the case management field, for both Workers’ Compensation and Nonsubscriber claims. She has practiced in Catastrophic Case management including multiple-trauma, orthopedics, spinal cord and brain injuries over 18 years.

Diane has also done Home Assessments for Long Term Disability and Post Catastrophic Incident Crisis Counseling for both employers and employees. Her goal to facilitate cost effective treatment and timely medical interventions for work injuries through patient education and support, by coordinating efforts between the insurance carrier, employer, patient, therapist, doctors, and clinics contributes to her success as a case manager.

Diane graduated from Brookhaven College with an Associate Degree in Nursing and has been a Certified Case Manager since 2006.

Mary Alda joined ProActive Partners as Director of Corporate Services in 2007.

Mary has 20+ years of claims experience in the handling of Nonsubscriber, Workers’ Compensation, and Auto/General Liability Insurance. Prior to her association with ProActive, she established the Texas operation for Pinnacle Risk Management, a Third Party Administrator, and served as their Claims Manager for 8 years. Her earlier claims experience included adjusting positions with Acordia and Crum & Forster.

Mary brings a vision of strong customer service to our firm, having had many years’ experience in working closely with the risk management teams for a variety of entities including a major US airline, a large interstate trucking company, a major Texas municipality, as well as numerous other employers. She supports the Corporate Services team and works closely with the Director of Case Management to ensure quality work product.

Mary graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She maintains her Texas All-Lines Adjusters License.

Lisa joined ProActive Partners in 2011 and brings over 20 years in client relations and insurance experience to the team. Lisa also brings vast experience in managing insurance contracts and licenses for brokers in the Insurance industry, as well as, a strong background in marketing and account and project management. Having worked mostly in the insurance industry for small businesses and non-profit organizations, Lisa is very familiar with working in many different facets of an organization to ensure the company remains a top competitor within its industry. Her knowledge in human resources has allowed her to maintain organizational culture, develop HR policies and procedures, and implement HR best practices within ProActive.

When Lisa is not managing functions within human resources, she is leading our Marketing efforts to create and develop our marketing materials. Lisa also ensures that all our CCM’s remain up to date on their certifications and licenses. Lisa has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from University of Texas at Arlington and has maintained her Group I Insurance License since 2004.
